BFA3 – School of Music – Music Technology

A mis en scène where sonics are utilized to induce the illusion of travel between urban and natural environments using 7.1 spatial audio. Creating ecosystems; from a desolate tundra to an industrial cosmos, to the rush of an animal crossing; shifting speeds of travel throughout these tumultuous spaces, aiming to alter the listener’s perception of time and space whilst simultaneously increasing awareness/acceptance of the humans’ capacity to understand our place within the environment. This recognition of how sounds behave are pertinent philosophical ideas in which this immersive experience is aiming to explore.
