When I was a writing/ critical studies student at CalArts, the Music School also assigned William Moulton to mentor me in music. One of my projects was to perform my own 2-hand arrangement of the Dorian Toccata, by J. S. Bach. In 2020, my later poem, “On Performing Bach’s Dorian Toccata,” was published in my 3rd collection, DRIVING INTO THE DREAMTIME: NEW & SELECTED POEMS (LP Press@ Wake Forest University). This project is a video of myself performing my 2-hand arrangement of the Dorian Toccata with lines from the poem superimposed as a series of captions.
