“The Ayatollah’s Unkept Promises” a series of Iranian’s currency, ink, paper, gouache evoke the battle of existentialism. They merge my past life in Iran and the present in America, revealing the importance of emotions, memory in my life, and my current challenges with my expenses; this money is transformed into drawings to create a visual diary corresponding to my emotional life. I make collages to surpass the unspeakable that motivates my art.
